Vinous Comment - Score: 92-94 (2016 March)

Dark purple. Powerful, expansive aromas of candied blackberry, boysenberry and candied licorice are complicated by violet and black pepper notes. Lush, sweet and smooth, offering spice-tinged dark berry and cherry compote flavors enlivened by zesty minerality. Finishes sappy and very long, repeating the spicy note and displaying a hint of olive and broad, harmonious tannins.
